Communist Party of Bangladesh lauds achievement of China's reform and opening up policy

Communist Party of Bangladesh (Marxist-Leninist) lauded on Sunday the achievement made by China since it implemented reform and opening up policy 30 years ago, and hoped China will help Bangladesh realize development.

Speaking at a seminar held here Sunday marking the 59th founding anniversary of China and 30th anniversary of reform and opening up of China, Dilip Barua, general secretary of Communist Party of Bangladesh (M-L), said China set a good example for developing countries and hoped China will help these countries out of poverty and suffering.

"We also hope China will contribute more to world peace and progress," Barua said.

Barua congratulated China for its successfully hosting 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and successfully implemented the first spacewalk by Shenzhou 7 Spacecraft.

Zheng Qingdian, Chinese ambassador to Bangladesh, said at the seminar that China has made great progress in the economic development during the past 30 years and China has become one of the most dynamic countries in the world.

"China is playing a much more important role in maintaining world peace and promoting common development," Zheng said.

"The Chinese government and people will stick to the reform and opening up policy and make unremitting efforts for the country's further progress," he added.

Representatives of some major parties of Bangladesh were present at the seminar and they also expressed their appreciation for China 's fast development after implementing reform and opening up policy.
