A Communist Party of China (CPC) senior official on Friday met with a delegation from the Israel Labor Party (ILP).

Liu Yunshan, head of the CPC Central Committee Publicity Department, spoke highly of the growth of the China-Israel relation and CPC-ILP ties.

He said the CPC expected the visit to enhance party-to-party friendship and understanding as well as the overall bilateral relations.

Liu appreciated the ILP's adherence to the one-China policy.

Delegation head Coletter Avital said the ILP would like to step up its ties with the CPC and promote the overall Israel-China ties.

Liu also briefed Avital on China's economic and social development, particularly the recent third Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee that focused on issues concerning China's rural reform and development.
