The Communist Party of China (CPC) would like to deepen cooperation with the Frente Amplio of Uruguay, a senior CPC official said in Beijing Thursday.
Wang Gang, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks when he met with Jorge Brovetto, chairman of the Frente Amplio.
As ruling parties, both the CPC and the Frente Amplio shoulder the tasks of leading the two peoples in national construction, said Wang, who is also vice chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference.
"The CPC is willing to continually boost the friendly ties with the Frente Amplio, exchange respective experience of running the country and promote mutual understanding and friendship," Wang said.
Brovetto said Uruguay admired China's remarkable achievements scored in the past 30 years since the reform and opening-up, and expressed the hope that bilateral ties would lift to a new level. Source:Xinhua
