Zhou Yongkang, member of the Political Bureau of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), on Tuesday arrived in Hanoi, starting his five-day-good-will visit to Vietnam.

In his written address upon arrival, Zhou conveyed the warm greetings and good wishes of the CPC, Chinese government and people to their counterparts of Vietnam.

With their joint efforts, the friendship between China and Vietnam will yield more fruitful results, Zhou said.

During his stay, Zhou will meet with leaders of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) and the Vietnamese government officials. He will also attend a theory seminar jointly held by CPC and CPV.
