Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend the G20 summit on the financial crisis slated for Nov. 15 in Washington, the Foreign Ministry announced here on Tuesday.

"At the invitation of U.S. President George W. Bush, President Hu Jintao will attend the G20 summit on financial markets and the world economy on Nov. 15," spokesman Qin Gang said at a regular press conference.

Following the G20 meeting, Hu will visit Costa Rica, Cuba, Peruand Greece from Nov. 16-26. Qin said this will happen at the invitation of the leaders of the four countries.

During that time, Hu will attend the Asian-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Peru which is on Nov. 22-23.
