A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) pledged here Thursday to enhance exchange and cooperation with the United Russia when attending a national congress of the Russian ruling party.
The CPC attaches great importance to its relations with the United Russia, and is willing to facilitate the all-around development of Sino-Russian strategic partnership of cooperation through enhancing inter-party relations, said Sun Xiaoqun, member of the CPC Central Committee.
During the one-day congress, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, who is heading the party, outlined a number of new measures to combat the financial crisis.
The political prospects of the United Russia will depend directly on whether the party is able to cope with the existing problems, Putin told the party's over 600 delegates from all over the country.
