Singapore and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on aviation security cooperation in Singapore on Friday.
The MoU on Aviation Security Cooperation was signed by Choi Shing Kwok, Permanent Secretary for Singapore's Transport Ministry, and Yang Guoqing, Deputy Administrator of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC).
Under the MoU, both sides agree to enhance bilateral cooperation in these areas such as aviation security policy, procedures, technology, operations and training, according to a statement.
For instance, both countries could work together on training opportunities and to test new aviation security equipment to improve security screening measures while upholding passenger facilitation and efficiency.
Regular dialogues, joint seminars, forums and conferences could also be organized to increase exchange of information and sharing of practices on civil aviation security. Source:Xinhua
