South Korea welcomes the launch of direct air, sea and postal links between Chinese mainland and Taiwan, the South Korean Foreign Ministry said Tuesday.

"We expect that the development of cross-strait relations will contribute to the stability and prosperity in Northeast Asia," said a statement released by the ministry.
