CPC to deepen friendly ties with Moldovan Party of Communists

A senior official from the Communist Party of China (CPC) vowed on Wednesday to further deepen the friendly relations between the CPC and the Moldovan Party of Communists (MCP).

"China will work with Moldova to push forward comprehensive and in-depth development of bilateral relations ," said Li Yuanchao, head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, in a meeting with Alexandr Isaev, head of the delegation of the MCP.

Li, also a member of the CPC Central Committee Political Bureau and a member of the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, hailed a sound development momentum of Sino-Moldovan ties since the two countries established the diplomatic relations.

He said the CPC hoped to exchange views with MCP on major international and regional issues of common concern, the bilateral relations and party-building and governance experience, so as to improve respective ability of governance by mutual learning.

Isaev, also a member of the Executive Political Committee of MCP and chief editor of the Party's newspaper Communist, said the MCP attached great importance to the ties with the CPC, and is willing to draw lessons from China's experience by enhancing communication and cooperation between the two parties.

Li also briefed Isaev on the CPC's achievements in party building and the primary measures taken by China to cope with the international financial crisis.
