President Asif Ali Zardari Saturday conferred the Hilal-e-Quaid-e-Azam award on Chinese ambassador to Pakistan Luo Zhaohui here at the President's House.
"As Ambassador of China to Pakistan, Mr. Luo Zhaohui has contributed significantly to further enhancing and deepening of the bilateral relations between Pakistan and China," a citation read out on the occasion said.
"He has exhibited profound commitment to consolidate the multi-faceted cooperative partnership between the two countries. He is a good friend of Pakistan. With his understanding of the South Asian affairs, he was instrumental in promoting Pakistan-China relations. For his services he was awarded Sitara-i-Quaid-i-Azam in 2007," it said.
Luo thanked the government of Pakistan for conferring the prestigious award on him.
