Belarussian President Alexander Lukashenko on Monday hailed his country's relationship with China, vowing to further consolidate bilateral ties, according to reports from Minsk.

Belarus and China conducted frequent constructive political dialogues and experienced booming cooperation in the fields of economy, trade, investment and science, Lukashenko said during a meeting in Minsk, the Belasrussian capital, with Lu Guicheng, the new Chinese ambassador to Belarus.

The two countries also carried out fruitful exchanges in such fields as education, culture and sports, he said.

Belarus expects to preserve the sound momentum of development in trade and economic ties with China, which would benefit both countries, Lukashenko said.
