Chinese Vice Premier Wang Qishan met here Sunday with Rick Larsen and Mark Kirk, co-chairmen of the U.S.-China Working Group in the U.S. House of Representatives.
They discussed the international economic and financial situations and cooperation between China and the United States.
Lu Yongxiang, vice chairman of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee, met the delegation earlier Sunday.
Lawmakers from the U.S.- China Working Group, the 55-member congressional group, earlier this month unveiled four bills to "invest in America's economic future" to foster closer relations with China on matters like trade, climate change, energy and Chinese language education promotion.
A statement issued by Larsen's office said the two co-chairmen would "explore ways that American businesses can tap the rapidly-growing China market to create jobs here at home, and to identify opportunities for bilateral cooperation to address the global economic crisis."
The delegation, invited by the NPC Foreign Affairs Committee, has also visited Guangzhou, Shanghai and Tianjin.
