Myanmar State Peace and Development Council Vice-Chairman Maung Aye on Friday wrapped up his visit in east China's Zhejiang Province.
During his stay in Hangzhou, the capital city of Zhejiang, Maung Aye met with Zhao Hongzhu, secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Thursday.
Myanmar and China share a long history of friendship which is increasingly cemented, said Maung Aye, adding that the two countries were expected to conduct substantive cooperation in the fields of culture, education and tourism.
He hoped that more enterprises in Zhejiang could make investment in Myanmar.
Zhao said Zhejiang would like to further expand exchanges and enhance cooperation with Myanmar in agriculture, tourism, infrastructure construction and mineral resources exploration.
Maung Aye is paying an official visit to China from June 15 to 20 at the invitation of Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping. He is scheduled to continue his tour in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Saturday.
