According to a mutual agreement between China and the US, the 10th round of China-US defense consultations will be held on June 23 and 24 in Beijing.

The two sides will exchange views on military relations between China and the US, the Taiwan issue, international and regional security and other issues of common interest.

China is paying particular attention to this round of consultations and hopes that with the US it can jointly strive to realize positive outcomes. The China-US defense consultations, an institutional exchange program between defense departments of the two countries, have already been held nine times.

Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Ma Xiaotian and his counterpart Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Michele Flournoy will co-chair this round of consultations.
