Chinese Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi on Thursday met with Herny Kissinger, the former U.S. secretary of state, and they exchanged views on the Sino-U.S. relations, and international regional issues of mutual concern.

Yang is here for the high-level UN conference on the global financial and economic crisis and its impact on development.

The high-level meeting, kicked off Wednesday morning at the UN Headquarters in New York, is the first UN high-level session on the international financial crisis in the history of the world body. Some 120 countries out of 192 UN members attended the three-day meeting.
