Over 120 foreign diplomats and representatives of more than 110 countries and international organizations visited the exhibition on fast social progress in China's five autonomous regions, including Inner Mongolia, Xinjiang, Guangxi, Ningxia and Tibet at the Cultural Palace of Nationalities in Beijing Tuesday.
"The exhibition really understood how great of the diversity of China. Its many nationalities inside its border have got great and fantastic achievements," said Australian Ambassador Geoff Raby after watching the exhibition.
Mr. Geoff Raby said that Australia and China had enjoyed a very warm and close relationship in the past and he looked forward to ever closer, ever stronger relations between Australia and China in the next 60 years. He also sent his sincere congratulations on the founding of the People's Republic of China 60 year ago.
"I am impressed by all the pictures here as they reflect the quick development of the economic, cultural, especially the social life development of China." Mr. Zeidan AG Sidalamine, First Counsellor of Embassy of the Republic of Mali said.
"Wishing all the best to the unity and the welfare of the Chinese people under the leadership of its most efficient and capable Government." said Hany. Selim, Minister of Egyptian Embassy in China.
And the documentary and photos about Urumqi riot was also exhibited. "No civilized people, no human can appreciate the activities; can support the activities. Any civilized people, any human must condemn those activities," said Mr. Tanka Prasad Karki, the Nepali Ambassador to China after seeing the pictures of Urumqi riot.
"We denounced those separatist activities in Xinjiang. And I believe that no nation can go ahead well without harmony and amity," said Khalaf Al-Jarad, Syrian Ambassador to China.
The exhibition, opened on August 25 and runs until September 17 at the Cultural Palace of Nationalities, showing the refulgent achievements of the economic, political, cultural, social and ecological developments in China's five autonomous regions, is part of the celebrations for the upcoming 60th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic on October 1.
