China, Japan and ROK businessmen urged to jointly cope with financial crisis

Businesspeople from China, Japan and the Republic of Korea (ROK) were urged to jointly cope with the financial crisis at a business summit held here Saturday.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, ROK President Lee Myung-bak and Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama attended the summit along with some 100 businesspeople from the three countries.

Wen offered his congratulations to the summit and said he appreciated the achievements of economic and trade cooperation among the three countries.
Wen said the establishment of the business summit mechanism is not only conducive to the fight against the financial crisis and economic growth, but also to the promotion of friendship and mutual understanding among people of the three countries.
Lee and Hatoyama encouraged business communities in the three countries to enhance cooperation to jointly fight the global financial crisis and overcome various challenges to achieve greater development.
The summit was jointly held by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Japan Federation of Employers' Associations and Federation of the Korean Industries.
