Guangxi authorities have recently started construction of a railway from Debao to Jingxi located in the Sino-Vietnam border. After its completion, it will speed up formation of the new entry-exit rail crossing in China's western region.
With a total investment of 1.25 billion yuan, the railway, from Debao to Jingxi, has a total length of 42 km and is only 30 km form Longbang port located on the Sino-Vietnam border.
It will link with Nanning-Kunming railway via Tiandong-Debao railway in the north and link with Vietnam via Longbang port in the south.
The railway, along with the yet-to-be-built Huangtong-Baise railway, will form the new entry-exit rail crossing connecting southwest and northwest China.
