Chinese state councilor leaves for Britain, France

Chinese State Councilor Dai Bingguo left Beijing on Friday for visit to Britain and France at the invitation of the two governments.

An earlier statement by the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Dai's trip was from Oct. 16 to 21.
