Vietnamese PM expects more cooperation with China's Guangdong province

Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung said here on Monday that he expects Vietnam could strengthen all-round cooperation with the Guangdong province of China.

Dung made the remarks when meeting with Huang Huahua, governor of south China's Guangdong province who is leading a business delegation to visit Vietnam.

Dung said Vietnamese provinces and cities have made good cooperation with China's Guangdong province in recent years, bringing benefits to the two sides.

Dung hoped the two sides could enhance cooperation in trade, investment, tourism and education, contributing to the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.

Huang said Guangdong and Vietnam boast of great potentials in cooperation. During this visit, the Guangdong business delegation is expected to sign contracts valued at 1.8 billion U.S. dollars with Vietnamese partners, he said

Huang hoped the visit could push forward cooperation between Guangdong and Vietnam to a new level.

During Huang's visit, a three-day trade fair to showcase products made in the Zhongshan city of Guangdong province is held in Hanoi from Monday to Wednesday. A business forum between Guangdong province and Vietnam will be held in Hanoi on Tuesday.
