Senior Chinese official meets Finnish minister of justice

Senior Chinese official Zhou Yongkang met here Wednesday with Finnish Minister of Justice Tuija Brax.
Zhou, a member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee Political Bureau, said today is a day worth of commemorating, because China and Finland established diplomatic ties on the same day 59 year ago.
Finland is the first western country that signed bilateral trade agreement, and the cooperation between the two countries have withstood the test of time, Zhou said.
He briefed the guest the social and judicial development in China in the past 60 years since the People's Republic of China has established.
He said China still faces problems in the process of development such as expansion of judicial democracy and promotion of justice.
He said he is glad that the two ministers of justice have signed implementation plan for 2010 to 2012 on Tuesday, and he believes it will play a positive role for the judicial construction of the two countries.
Brax said she has seen the great changes that China has made during her visit. Finland is willing to further cooperation with China in judicial field.
