Chinese Vice President Xi Jinping met here Monday with visiting Finnish Foreign Minister Alexander Stubb, pledging to boost cooperation between the two countries.

China-Finland relationship can be seen as a good example of friendly co-existence between countries with different social systems and cultural traditions, said Xi.

Xi said that China is ready to make joint efforts with Finland to lift bilateral ties to a new height as the two countries mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties.

Stubb was in Beijing for a two-day visit as a guest of his Chinese counterpart Yang Jiechi.

Stubb said Finland would unswervingly stick to the one-China policy and contribute to the further development of bilateral relations.
