Chinese police chief meets Serbian interior minister

China's top police officer Meng Jianzhu held talks Tuesday with Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic in Beijing, pledging to enhance cooperation on law-enforcement and fighting transnational crimes.
Meng, China's State Councilor and Public Security Minister, and Dacic also signed a cooperative agreement after their talks.
China's Public Security Ministry and Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs have conducted sound cooperation on police equipment and law-enforcement training in recent years, said Meng.
China's Public Security Ministry is willing to step up traditional friendship with Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and lift cooperation between the law-enforcement departments to a new level, Meng said.
Dacic, also Serbia's first deputy prime minister, said Serbia is willing to conduct more exchanges and cooperation with China on anti-terrorism, fighting transnational crimes and anti-narcotics.
