China's top police officer Meng Jianzhu held talks Tuesday with Serbian Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic in Beijing, pledging to enhance cooperation on law-enforcement and fighting transnational crimes.

Meng, China's State Councilor and Public Security Minister, and Dacic also signed a cooperative agreement after their talks.

China's Public Security Ministry and Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs have conducted sound cooperation on police equipment and law-enforcement training in recent years, said Meng.

China's Public Security Ministry is willing to step up traditional friendship with Serbia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and lift cooperation between the law-enforcement departments to a new level, Meng said.

Dacic, also Serbia's first deputy prime minister, said Serbia is willing to conduct more exchanges and cooperation with China on anti-terrorism, fighting transnational crimes and anti-narcotics.
