Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao on Monday exchanged views with Danish Prime Minister Lars Loekke Rasmussen on how to cope with climate change.

Wen appreciated Denmark's active efforts for holding the UN climate change conference in Copenhagen, and hoped the ongoing relevant negotiations could make positive progress, laying foundation for a final agreement at the conference.

China is willing to work with Denmark to achieve that goal, he added.

Rasmussen welcomed the action plan announced recently by the Chinese government to control greenhouse gas emissions. The achievement of the Copenhagen conference should be built on the "Bali Roadmap" and the principle of "common but differentiated responsibilities," he said.

Denmark would like to keep negotiation and coordination with China on the climate change issue, Rasmussen said.
