Senior Chinese party official meets C. African president on ties

A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC) met on Tuesday with Central African Republic President Francois Bozize on efforts to enhance ties between their two nations, according to reports from its capital Bangui.

China, as the biggest developing nation, extended assistance to the Central African Republic in times of hardship, Bozize said during talks with Wang Jiarui, head of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee.

The stadiums, hospitals, schools and broadcasting stations China helped build in Central Africa have brought tangible benefits to its people, said Bozize, who is also head of the Kwa Na Kwa (labor) party.

Expressing admiration for China's economic and social achievements, Bozize said his government would learn from China's experience in promoting the welfare of his countrymen.

Wang, for his part, said the CPC would like to further the friendly cooperative links with Bozize's party and work with it to enhance relations between the two parties and the two nations.
