Singapore, Macao strengthen cooperation on consumer issues

Singapore's Consumers Association of Singapore (CASE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with its Macao counterpart- Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR Government Consumer Council, local media reported on Monday.
This will pave the way for both organizations to set up a channel to strengthen consumer protection and enhance consumer confidence, according to local TV broadcaster Channel NewsAsia.
Both agencies will also mutually recognize accredited businesses and cooperate on consumer issues such as product testing.
CASE had previously signed similar MOUs with its counterparts in China and India.
