Chinese share prices continued downward adjustment Friday after a drastic dive on the previous trading day, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index closing at 5,315.54 points, down 0.27 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller bourse in Shenzhen ended at 17,160.12 points, down 1.75 percent.
The combined daily transaction volume on the two exchanges shrank to 118.19 billion yuan (15.9 billion U.S. dollars) from the 128.2 billion yuan (17.2 billion U.S. dollars) on Thursday. Source:Xinhua
