Chinese share prices continued mixed performance Tuesday with A-shares gaining ground and B-shares moving downward.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 47.28 points, or 0.97 percent, to close at 4,915.89.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange ended at 16,065.17 points, up 232.18 points, or 1.47 percent.
The combined turnover of the two bourses declined further to 87.3 billion yuan (11.8 billion U.S. dollars) from 97.8 billion yuan on Monday.
