Chinese share prices edged down Tuesday.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index lost 33.08 points, or 0.63 percent, to close at 5,201.18.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the smaller Shenzhen Stock Exchange ended at 17,199.04 points, up 45.11 points, or 0.26 percent.
The Hushen 300 Index, which accounts for 60 percent of the nation's stock market value, rose 0.19 percent, to 5,216.81.
