According to China News Network, on January 15th the Beijing Municipal Rail Transport Construction Company announced that the Beijing Capital Airport Express Line, connecting with the Beijing Capital Airport, will begin test runs on April 1; and on July 1, the line will begin accepting passengers.
The Beijing Rail Transit Construction Management Company held a press conference. On January 15th, Deputy General Manager Ding Shukui stated that the line will run 28.1 km , with an elevated main line so that, most of the time, passengers can enjoy scenery on both sides of the road. It will begin at Dongzhimen station, and has transfers to Metro Line 2 and Line 13.
The Airport Express will have four stations: Dongzhimen Station, Sanyuanqiao Station, Airport Terminal T3 Station, and Terminal T2 Station. After opening, it will only take 17 minutes to travel from Dongzhimen Station to Terminal T3 Station.
