Chinese shares opened low on Monday morning and rebound to close slightly higher in the morning session than the previous trading day.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index rose 76.78 points, or 1.77 percent, to close at 4,425.32 points in the morning session. Traded between the highest 4,427.55 points and the lowest 4,279.35 points, with a turnover of 63.69 billion yuan (9.1 billion US. dollars).
The Shenzhen Component Index ended up 212.27 points, or 1.34 percent, to 16,036.16 points, and the total turnover was 29.28 billion yuan.
The Hushen 300 Index, which accounts for 60 percent of the market value in China's stock market and reflects the performance of China's Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges closed at 4,757.685 points, up 1.78 percent.
PetroChina, blue-chip financial shares, new-energy sources shares and real estate shares have contributed most to the rebound in the morning session.
