Chinese shares are recovering previous losses as investors anticipate government supportive policies, with the key Shanghai Composite Index up 2.06 percent, or 89.73 points to 4,438.27.
The Shenzhen Component Index, which covers both A and B shares, nudged up 363.63 points, or 2.3 percent, to 16,187.51.
