China's benchmark Shanghai Composite Index on the Shanghai Stock Exchange closed at 4,292.65 on Wednesday, down 42.80 points, or 0.99 percent, from the previous close.

A Share Index: 4,503.62 points, down 45.08 points;

B Share Index: 313.89 points, down 0.50 points;

Total Turnover: 114.60 billion yuan.
