Chinese shares closed more than 2 percent lower on Thursday from the previous trading day on weak market sentiment.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index dived 98.86 points, or 2.43 percent, to close at 3,971.26 points, with a turnover of 96.34 billion yuan.
The Shenzhen Component Index on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange closed at 13,943.16 on Thursday, down 405.31 points, or 2.82 percent, from the previous close.
The Hushen 300 Index, which accounts for 60 percent of the market value in China's stock market and reflects the performance of China's Shanghai and Shenzhen stock exchanges closed at 4,198.96 points, down 110.69 points or 2.57 percent. Source:Xinhua
