The gold price in Hong Kong surged 219 HK dollars to 9,423 HK dollars per tael on Monday as investors opted to buy into gold as haven amid global stock markets routs, according to the Bank of China (Hong Kong).
The price is equivalent to 1,019.18 U.S. dollars a troy ounce, up 25.49 U.S. dollars at Monday's exchange rate of one U.S. dollar against 7.761 HK dollars. Source: Xinhua
