The Ministry of Commerce held a preparation meeting to arrange the organizing work for the Fifth China-ASEAN Expo in Beijing on May 7.

The Fifth China-ASEAN Expo will be held from October 22 to 25 in Nanning, capital city of south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Zheng Jun, the Secretary General of the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat, said that preparatory work has proceeded smoothly at present, and the ASEAN countries have shown great interest in participating.

Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia have signed agreements to lease exhibition halls, and other ASEAN counties’ demand for booths is also increasing.

Domestic enterprises have applied for 720 booths with a faster progress than the same period last year. Preparatory work for China - ASEAN Telecom Week and related forums are going forward well.
