China's first exported food identification tracing-down system - "exported eel products identification tracing-down system" has been established in Fujian Province. This system will soon be generally applied to the aquatic products, and extended to vegetables, meat, and other fields.

Following the operation of the tracing-down system, an integral traceable electronic information chain linking the whole production process, from planting and breeding, medicine supply to production and transportation, will come into being, so that customers, buyers and the official import and export regulatory commissions could monitor and consult information on line. Three languages (Chinese, English and Japanese) will be available on line to facilitate inquiries. What the customers have to do is only to enter the batch numbers of the products for relevant information.
