Multinational corporations invest 3.52 bln USD in Sichuan

Sixty multinational corporations recently issued a joint initiative in Chengdu, Sichuan to be constantly vigilant of the earthquake relief, participate in post-quake reconstruction, and consider Sichuan a focus of investment in China.

The 60 multinational corporations signed 18 cooperative projects with Sichuan and total investment amounted to 3.52 billion U.S. dollars.

The 60 multinationals were invited by the Sichuan Provincial Government to take part in the Sichuan "multinational corporations walk hand in hand" activity. Most of the corporations are among the world's top 500 enterprises, including GM Co., Tyco Electronics, Diageo, Wal-Mart, Siemens (China) Limited, Honeywell China Co., Procter & Gamble (China) Limited, Shell China Holdings Ltd., Sony China Limited, and Coca-Cola (China) Beverages Ltd.
