Per-capita non-shopping spending (excluding gaming expenses) of visitors grew by 11 percent year-on-year to 975 patacas (122 dollars) in the period, of which the expenses on accommodation and food and beverage accounted for 44 percent and 37 percent respectively, according to the DSEC.

The figures showed that, among the visitors, per-capita spending of Chinese mainland visitors still took the lead in the period, standing at 3,357 patacas (419.6 dollars) while that of Hong Kong visitors was 992 patacas (124 dollars).

Meanwhile, per-capita shopping spending rose by 5 percent to 638 patacas (80 dollars), with expenses on local food products and clothing sharing 30 percent and 17 percent respectively, according to the DSEC.

The DSEC also said that average length of stay of visitors remained at 1.1 days in the period, and that of same-day visitors stayed unchanged at 0.2 day.
