There are a total of 2,070 county-level economic entities in China, generating 60 percent of China's GDP, according to a forum held by the Ministry of Science and Technology and the People's Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
The 2,070 county-level economic entities, covering 95 percent of China's land area, and supporting 74 percent of the population, generates 60 percent of GDP and 24 percent of fiscal revenues.
