The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 41.69 points, or 0.31 percent, to open at 13,584.35 after the global leaders offered promises instead of concrete steps to rescue the world economy at the Group of Twenty (G20) summit over the weekend.
The index once dropped 265.02 points, or 1.96 percent, to half-day low 13,277.64, after Japan's economy receded 0.1 percent in the third quarter, but climbed out from the bottom drastically towards morning closing. Source:Xinhua
