The iResearch Consulting Group recently estimated that China's total value of online games exports in 2008 exceeded US $100 million. Compared to the online games exported in 2007 that valued US $55 million, the amount has almost doubled.

Although the effects of the global financial crisis are currently spreading, China's online gaming industry's exports are still growing rapidly.

For a long time, China has been in a disadvantaged position in the field of international cultural communications, but China's online gaming industry since its inception has been a completely market-oriented cultural industry. The online gaming industry has seen the fastest growth in exports among all cultural industries over the past several years.
