The Chief Executive of Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR), Ho Hau Wah, Friday left Macao to pay a five-day visit to Chinese mainland's Heilongjiang, Jilin and Liaoning provinces, in a bid to strengthen trade ties with the three provinces.
During his visit, Ho was scheduled to meet the heads of these three provinces in the northeastern part of China, holding talks on boosting co-operation in fields such as trade and tourism, according to a press release from the SAR government's Information Bureau.
A delegation of SAR officials and more than 100 local business people also went with Ho on his visit to the three provinces. According to his schedule, Ho will also attend trade promotion activities in the provinces and visit relevant enterprises there.
The Secretary for Administration and Justice Florinda da Rosa Silva Chan, will be Acting Chief Executive until Ho returns on May 19. Source: Xinhua
