Southwest China Research Institute of Physics has recently achieved the operation of so called controlled nuclear fusion experimental device--the HL-A, the 2nd device under high-constraint mode.
This was a milestone of significant progress in the history of China's magnetic confinement fusion energy R & D, which also marked that the comprehensive strength of this field in China has been greatly enhanced.
