Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Rohita Bogollagama arrived in Nepali capital Kathmandu on Saturday.

Bogollagama during his stay in Nepal will participate in various programs to be organized to mark the golden jubilee celebrations of the establishment of bilateral relationship between Nepal and Sri Lanka.

Talking to journalists upon his arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, Bogollagma expressed hopes that the visit would be helpful in further strengthening the bilateral relationships between Nepal and Sri Lanka.

The Sri Lankan minister has arrived in the capital on a four-day visit on the invitation of Nepali Minister for Foreign AffairsSahana Pradhan.

According to the Sri Lankan Embassy, Bogollagama will hold consultations with various political leaders including Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala regarding bilateral relations and Nepal's experiences in conflict transformation.

Sri Lanka has been suffering from internal conflicts for years.
