Before he left for Portugal's capital Lisbon, Lemos said at the Luanda international airport that his visit to Portugal aims at "reinforcing bilateral cooperation in police sector between Angola and Portugal."
He added that Portugal has made great contributions to training Angolan police officers in the field of police sciences.
"Some officers of the Portuguese Department of Police Training and Public Safety (PSP) are now in Luanda to instruct their counterparts of the National Police at the Police Sciences Medium Institute," he said.
During his four-day visit to Portugal, Lemos said he will also attend the activities to mark the 140th anniversary of PSP. He is scheduled to return home on Saturday.
