International Nepali Solidarity Society has demanded the government to make arrangement for Nepali people who are residing abroad to cast vote in the election to Constituent Assembly (CA) due to be held on Nov. 22.

Some 10 million Nepali people are working in different countries around the world and among them nearly 8 million are residing in India, according to the Society, a non-governmental organization, quoted by the National News Agency RSS on Wednesday.

Many countries are making arrangement to ensure its nonresidential citizens to cast vote in the places where they are working through their embassies and offices of the consul generals, the RSS said.

At a press conference on Tuesday, President of the Society Girdhari Lal Neupane informed that they have expressed their desire to vote on Nov. 22.

Parliamentarian Leelaram Acharya also said Nepali people were forced to go abroad for work because of lack of opportunities in the country.
