At least four people were killed and a senior police officer was injured in a rocket attack on his car in Pakistan's North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) on Wednesday, the private NNI news agency reported.

Thousands of people staged a rally near Mingora on Tuesday in support of the hard-line clerics of Islamabad-based Lal Masjid, orRed Mosque, the NNI said, adding that the rally was organized by a banned group.
The firing exchange between the Lal Masjid personnel and law enforcers in Islamabad on Tuesday afternoon left at least 10 people killed and some 94 others injured, according to local officials.
