One illegal immigrant killed in boat capsize in western Turkey |

One illegal immigrant drowned and ten others were rescued after their boat capsized off Turkey's western coast on Friday, the semi-official Anatolia news agency reported.
The boat carrying illegal immigrants sank off Karaada island in the Aegean Sea as the immigrants of Palestinian and Somalian origin were heading to Greece, local officials were quoted as saying.
Turkish coast guard found the body of the drowned and rescued ten others, the officials said.
It was not immediately clear what caused the accident.
Turkey has often been used as a springboard by illegal immigrants from the Mideast and Asian countries to go to Europe. Many of them take the risks of traveling on dangerous boats, which easily capsize in the tough sea journey.
