An unidentified group kidnapped a local from the southern Nepal Thursday night, reported the local website ekantipur.com Friday.

The police identified the kidnapped person as 55-year old Saroj Koirala of Kodraha village in Saptari district, some 190 km south of Kathmandu.

According to the family members, a group of some 9-10 persons kidnapped Koirala from his home at around 16:00 GMT Thursday.
